Many years ago people would look at the sky at night and thought it was just a black hole.Years passed and people wanted to explore it these people were astronauts who worked for NASA. January 20, 1969 a man did it Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. When he went to the moon he could see our solar system. From where he stood he could see our inner planets that were very far away. When he came back people loved him he was on our moon! After he went to the moon people were researching it and waiting for someone else to go.As families would watch the news they would hear about Asteroids and Meteoroids being found on the moon.As we revolved around the sun and rotated on our axis more people were going to the moon. Each day we would learn something new sitting in class or just watching TV.Kids would sit in school learning about meteors meteorites our elliptical orbit science was the number one thing to learn about. All of the kids wanted to be astronauts.Later astronauts started putting satellites in our solar system our space has a vacuum that held the satellites in close to the earth. The international space station would send space probes to outer space to see what was going on up there. The space probes would go around the solar system and collect data. They also developed space shuttles that could make multiple trips back and forth from earth to outer space. The first shuttle was called Columbia and was launched in 1981.The others that were launched were the Atlantis these shuttles would carry satellites to outer space that could check weather and could take pictures of  Earth. After they would get the data they would perform experiments with the probes. All of the results and experiments were sent back to earth. When things would get sent back scientist would also perform experiments.
